Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix showed a flair for athletics early on discovering her talent for sprinting when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first tryout she came third in the 200-meter race during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from her high school year in 2003 and signed with Adidas to become professional athlete. In the following year, she was a student at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. A year later Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by taking 200 metres within 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo always finishing in the top three of her competitions.
