Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed an early aptitude to play sports while studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic ability at the time. A mere 10 weeks after the initial time she tried out the sport, she finished second for 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished her high school year in 2003 and was signed by Adidas to become an athlete in professional competition. The following year she was a student at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. She set a Junior World Record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 second. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for the 200m. She won the title in 2007. was able to defend her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo always finishing in the top three in all her races.
